1… 2… 3… steps to the power of content

Yesterday I asked how you thought I’d managed to help someone massively increase lead generation across all their content.

They were already slamming it on their homepage, but everywhere else on the site the leads were disappearing.

I made one suggestion and that all changed.

I’d like to take credit for the idea, but it isn’t mine. I got it from someone else, who in turn got it from someone else who in turn… you get the idea.

And that’s the thing about internet marketing. There’s very rarely a new idea.

Yeah, people shout about this new technique, strategy, device, secret and a whole bunch of other stuff. But when it actually comes down to it. When you really dig into what they’re teaching. There’s nothing new, they’ve just put a different spin on it.

In order to generate leads across all your content, not just your landing pages, you need to create lead magnets specific to the content on each page.

Here’s what you do…

1) Check out Google Analytics and find your most visited blog posts.

If you don’t have Google Analytics installed on your blog then shame on you. Go get it installed right now because you’re missing out on a ton of data that can make a big difference to your bizniss. As you’re about to find out…

2) Look at the content on those blog posts and determine what it is your reader wants to achieve and how you can make it happen faster, better, free or some other benefit that they won’t already be getting from the post.

3) Generate a lead magnet which does that and put an optin box for it at the bottom of the post. You may also want to drop one in the middle of the post if it’s a really long piece of content.

What you’ve just done is found the blog posts that are driving the most readers to your blog. Created something you know they’re absolutely gonna want, otherwise they wouldn’t be reading that blog post and then… given it to them for free.

It’s giving you’re blog a whole bunch of hootenanny awesomeness.

Want to create those lead magnets in 30 seconds with no content writing?

My good friend Paul Clifford has just released an awesome bit of kit that will do exactly that for you. It’s still at a discounted launch price and I strongly recommend you get it here.
