    127 Bikers Beat Bullies

There’s nothing better than a story about bullies being given the finger.

A 16 year-old who was terrified of going to her prom because of fear of bullies, had a surprise when 127 bikers turned up to support her.

In the UK there’s a group called Bikers Against Bullies and, without her knowing, they arranged to escort her to her prom.

As her car left to take her to the prom, she got a surprise as 127 bikers turned on to the road and surrounded the car in a private escort to the event.

Not only did it help to give her som self-esteem back, but it also stopped the bullies from doing anything during the prom.

Since then she’s gone on to help the group with their social media accounts and support their work to help other people.

What an absolutely brilliant story, I love it.

    Ciao,

    Michael

    French Gangster Airlifted From Prison

This story has nothing to do with business or entrepreneurialism, but it’s a bloody good story!

A notorious French criminal is on the run after pulling off a brazen escape in a helicopter from a prison near Paris.

According to the Associated Press, Redoine Faid, who is serving 25 years for failed robbery and murder of a police officer, previously escaped another prison in 2013 using explosives hidden in packs of tissues before being rearrested a month later.

Faid pulled off his latest escape at around 11:20 a.m. local time on Sunday.

My 10 Biggest Mistakes in 10 Years as an Entrepreneur

    I guess I’m now a 4%-er.

According to Inc. Magazine just 4% of new companies make it to 10 years.

    And guess what?

We just made it here at Convince & Convert.

Our 10 year anniversary is today!

This is the longest I’ve ever done ANYTHING continuously (other than being a husband and a father), and I’m so proud of my team and the work they’ve done – and continue to do.

We’re so fired up; we even created a temporary new logo to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Convince & Convert.

I was an entrepreneur before I started this firm. In fact, Convince & Convert is my fifth startup endeavor, and I’m an investor in dozens of others. But this is certainly my most well-known and longest-running venture, so on this anniversary date, I decided to take some stock and think about the mistakes I’ve made along the way. I hope these confessions will help you in your own entrepreneurial journey.

  • The 7 Best Free Image Websites

The 7 Best Free Image Websites

If you’ve got a website, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a personal blog or a business, you’ll have come across the need for images.

And it can be damn hard to find images that work with what you’re writing about.

Of course, if you’re running a photo blog then you’ll be fine 😉 but for the rest of us, we need to find images regularly.

There’s a huuuuuuge temptation to use images that we find on the web.

    But you shouldn’t!

Because… most of them belong to someone, and that someone can charge you for them.

“How would they ever know?” you may be thinking.

They know because images can have tracking embedded in them.

This tracking means that the owner can get a report of every website where the image is published, and if your website is on the list without their permission, you may get a knock on the door, or an email you don’t want.

To get around this you can use sites like 123rf.com which provide cheap images. They’re good, but if you’re going to use a lot of them or have a zero budget then it’s going to be a problem.

So… here’s where to go to get images, with full permission of the creator to use them on your website, for FREE!

    1) Pixabay / Canva
    2) PikWizard
    2) Free Range Stock
    3) Snappy Goat
    4) Pexels
    5) PicJumbo
    6) UnSplash
    7) Free Images

There you have it, the top seven free image websites. Between these websites you can grab millions and millions of images.

    ***UPDATE May 2018***

While this isn’t included in the list above, Canva have contacted me and asked if I would add them to the list above. Since they’re a great site, I’ve included them as joint first 🙂

    ***UPDATE November 2018***

Pikwizard has contacting me asking to be included in the above list. I’ve taken a look at them and their site is easy to navigate, has some great images and is quick to download. I’ve put this in at number two.

    See you soon,

    Michael
