  • King Tut At The Egypt Underwater Exhibition

King Tut At The Egypt Underwater Exhibition

Yesterday I went to the Egypt Underwater exhibition at the British Museum. It was awesome, but I’ve always loved ancient Egypt.

Unusually though, there was no mention of King Tut, which when I was at school, was pretty much all anybody mentioned when they talked about ancient Egypt.

Anyhoo… in this exhibition they had all the cool things that have recently been dug up from underwater, places where they’ve found complete sunken cities. Seriously, some of the statues they’ve brought up look like they were made yesterday.

It blew my mind, looking at stuff made thousands of years ago, that could have been made yesterday.

Which got me thinking, why has this stuff been preserved so dang well?

Answer… because it was made well to begin with.

Okay, there’s also the fact it’s been under the seabed, which has reduced erosion, yada yada yada

But if it hadn’t been made well to begin with, then it still wouldn’t have lasted in near perfect condition for thousands of years. You’ve got to respect it’s creators for that.

And that’s why, you should make sure that anything you sell is of the highest quality.

Don’t just choose some random thing on Clickbank or JVZoo because everyone else is promoting it. If you have to, buy the product and make sure the quality is good, make sure the quality of the sales copy is good, check out their entire funnel and product first.

Only when you know it’s high quality, should you be promoting it.

And if you’re making your own products, make sure they’re damn good as well. Like Sarah teaches in this course.

  • The secret behind million dollar launches

The secret behind million dollar launches

You know the launches that have everybody buzzing. The really big ones.

After they’ve finished you find out they took $5,000,000, or even $10,000,000, in sales during the few weeks they were running.

Quite often those launches are aiming to teach you how you can do the exact same thing.

    Have you ever done it?

    Do you know why not?

Well folks, that’s because one of the main reasons those launches do so well is because of their…

    Network.

    Yup. It’s that simple.

Because online, your network will mean your partners, and your partners will promote your products for you as affiliates.

There’s no easier way to generate hot traffic and sales, than using well established partners to promote your launch.

It can drive an avalanche of traffic to your website in the space of just a few hours.

But because we work online, most people forget that you still have to network. It’s still about building relationships with other people, helping other people out and working together.

The difference is… you’ve got to go to networking events and do it.

Now I’m not saying you have to go to the big networking events that costs thousands of dollars, of course you can if you want, but it’s not necessary. You can use websites like Meetup.com and similar to find people local to you, who meet regularly to discuss what they’re doing.

And if you’d like an online space to do the same thing from the comfort of your home, then join our FB group (if you haven’t already).

  • The Narcissistic Truth

    The Narcissistic Truth

    Internet marketers are narcissists.

“Narcissism is the pursuit of gratification from vanity or egotistic admiration of one’s own attributes. The term originated from Greek mythology, where the young Narcissus fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water.” – Wikipedia

Time and time again I see folk launch a product, only for it to fall flat on its face. And it’s because you haven’t really thought about your audience.

Heck, I used to be as guilty as anyone else.

A few years back I made a piece of software. It was something that I’d been wanting to make forever, and I ‘knew’ everybody would love it. I spent nearly $50,000 developing it, because I knew it was going to do something better than anything else.

And… it did. It was awesome.

    What happened?

    I never even released it!

A group of beta testers came in to help me, and the resounding report was… it’s too complicated.

It worked, but the learning curve was too great. The time you had to spend was too long.

In a nutshell, I hadn’t thought about my audience, I’d built it because I wanted to.

That was a $50,000 lesson in what not to do when developing a product. I’ve never done it again.

    Bottom line…

Think about your buyers first when creating a new product. Put yourself in their shoes. Would you want what you’re offering.

P.S. I’m just waiting for the proof copy of my book to arrive, and then I’m going to be releasing Business Ignition. It’s a book (posted to your door) that reveals a step-by-step plan to building an online business in less than a month, from scratch. Then you’ll continue to get a monthly newsletter, the type that’s written on paper made from trees, which is packed with advice you can take immediate action on.

It’s not gonna be cheap. But I’m considering giving a lifetime discount for the early-birds on this list:

  • (rant) Stop wasting your f*****g money!

(rant) Stop wasting your f*****g money!

I spent six months working on a product and when I released it nobody bought it. How can I sell more?

This is from an email I received last week, and it makes me want to stick my fingers in my eyes.

I feel for the guy, that’s a lot of time and work, and probably money too.

But he’s got it all wrong. Shame he didn’t find me sooner, like six months ago before he even began to build his product.

Because this is the wrong way to go about making a product.

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again now and I’ll probably say it in the future.

Don’t spend ages making your product. Don’t try and make it perfect.

That’s a method of development which is dead.

    It doesn’t work any more.

You cannot predict what your market wants!

Heck, even the multi-billion dollar companies have trouble predicting what people want and they have hundreds of analysts, so what chance have you got.

The only way to be successful quickly online, is to use the rough-and-ready approach. Officially it’s called ‘agile’ development, but the bottom line is it’s rough and ready.

    Quite simply it’s…

    1) Research and find a problem that needs a solution in your niche.

    2) Work out what you think would solve that problem.

    3) Create the simplest, quickest version of it possible (it should take less than 4 weeks).

    4) Sell it and use the feedback from your customers to rapidly change it to the product they want.

We live in an age of technology and communication. This means we don’t need to predict what our customers want, we just ask them!

Make your product quickly and simply, sell it to your list and let your customers tell you what’s wrong with it or what it’s missing and you won’t have wasted months building something people don’t want.

Want to know how to build a big email list to sell it to? This is the place to register early for my Business Ignition manual.

  • The Secret Life Of Marketers

    The Secret Life Of Marketers

In the internet marketing world, marketers are selling all sorts of products to teach you how to market. Recently there’s been a fair few Facebook Advertising strategies being sold using the big Jeff Walker style launch.

You know the kind… they start with an optin form to get your email, then you go through a series of videos designed to build trust and give proof of the products results before you get the sales page.

The whole thing takes a few weeks.

    And they work well.

Why do they work well? Because they generate hype.

Personally I almost never optin to them anymore. I’ve seen too many of them, worked on many more and generally find watching hours of video that really don’t tell you much pretty dull.

But here’s the thing… 99% of people who optin are doing it because they want to improve their marketing. But 99% of people who optin are doing the wrong thing.

They’re listening to what’s being said in the videos to learn as much as possible.

    No, no my friend.

That’s not the way to do it.

Next time you optin to one of these launches, look at what they’re doing in the launch not the product they’re selling.

    Why?

Because most of the time what they’re selling is completely different to how they’re selling it.

And let’s be honest, wouldn’t you rather see how to do a multi-million dollar launch than buy into the product that’s making them those dollars 😉

    Ciao,

    Michael

HINT: It’s always in the email list.
