    The Secret Life Of Dogs

    I love random facts.

The kinda stuff that you only find out in those books your grandparents used to give you at Christmas, or…

…by spending far too much time Googling!

One of the facts I love, is that every dog’s nose is different.

If you were to dab a dog’s nose in ink, and put it on paper, the lines would be 100% unique for each and every dog on the planet.

    How frickin awesome is that!

Not only that, but their sense of smell is insane. They can smell one rotten apple amongst two million barrels of apples.

I mean, holy schmoly, there’s gotta be this whole secret life going on between dogs that we don’t even know about.

Do dogs realise how incredible their sniffing power is?

    I doubt it.

In the same way that most people don’t realise how good they are at things.

It seems to be a modern day trait to put yourself down. To not give yourself enough credit.

    Well… screw that.

    EVERYBODY IS GOOD AT SOMETHING.

    And that includes you.

What most people aren’t good at, is realising how good they actually are.

But when you do, you can concentrate on the things you’re good at and get others to work on the rest.

So, spend a few minutes figuring out what you’re good at, then begin to focus on it.

That’s all you need to change everything.

  • Feeling pissed that London is going to start charging even more to drive in unless you have an ultra-low emissions car. Yes, good for the environment and health I know, but still frickin annoying!

  • F**k London

    F**k London

Man, sometimes I get pissed, and today is definitely one of those days.

I’ve been looking at getting a new car, primarily because we don’t have enough boot space for the baby and the dog.

Not that we’re putting the baby in the boot (obviously), but they come with a caravan quantity of stuff.

The plan was to get something a few years old, probably a diesel estate or SUV, and then I could look at getting myself a “fun” car.

That was all going well, until my mum pointed out that…

London is getting a new ultra low emissions car tax, to add on top of the congestion charge.

This is the T-Charge, and if your car is below new ultra low emissions levels, then you get an extra tenner added to your bill when you drive into London.

    I mean FFS!

That means it’s going to cost nearly £22 just to drive into London, plus parking and any other charges.

Unless you have, effectively, a brand new car.

So… I’ve been looking at some ultra low emissions cars like the Mitsubishi PHEV and the Golf Estate GTE.

None really jump out at me, so I thought I’d ask you.

Do you know of any good hybrid car, comfortable for long distance driving, and with enough boot space for a family (dogs included)?

I can’t go electric only because Max has the potential to be rushed into a specialist hosptial a hundred miles away, so I need a car that can be fueled and on the road in minutes if necessary.

Let me know what you think.
