By That Free Parking spot on a Monopoly board is like gold dust when other people own everything around it.
As my piece comes up to a row of properties owned by other people, I begin to break out in a cold sweat. Because I bloody love the game.
I played it for the first time in years with my grandfather the other week.
And he absolutely kicked my ass.
I’d literally mortgaged everything I owned (that wasn’t much to start with) which meant I kept paying him out when I landed on his properties, but never got anything when he landed on mine.
To be honest I was a little bit peeved.
You see, I like to think I’m pretty good at the game. Clearly I have a lot to learn.
My strategy with Monopoly is to go on gut feeling, and generally this has worked well for me.
My grandfathers strategy with Monopoly is… to have a pre-determined plan.
Which is why he whooped my ass in about 45 minutes.
If you’ve got a plan of action then you’re going to absolutely kick anybody who doesn’t.
Yes things go wrong.
Yes you need to change shit.
But… there’s structure. And that structure is invaluable whether you’re playing Monopoly or building a business.
Now the single most important part of any online business is a mailing list.
So ask yourself…
