When most folk think about trying to make a bit of money on the internet, they usually begin by typing something like “make money online” into the Google machine.
This brings up a mere 249,000,000 results.
I mean, where the heck do you begin with that!
Making money online is usually split into the following categories:
1) Paid surveys, browsing and clicking
2) Gambling and lottery offers
3) Business opportunities to buy into a done-for(with)-you business
4) Affiliate marketing
You should ignore number one. Not that they don’t work, some do, but they pay so little it’s really not worth your time and it can’t be scaled up.
Number two works for the right person, but you have to be interested in the sport and spend a good amount of time learning. Casino and lottery games will just lose your money.
The third option is fine, depending on which company you go with, but you pay a premium for what, in reality, is very little when you know what you’re doing. However, the support is there if you need it. Think of this as more of a franchise type route.
And finally… the fourth option… this is where most people will start if they don’t want to join a business opportunity or pay the money to, but want to do something that can be turned into a serious online business.
But, if you Google “affiliate marketing” you get 47,700,000 results.
Same problem of where to start.
So… simply put, affiliate marketing is selling other peoples products for a commission.
Nothing complex about it.
If you want more of a breakdown, then you should read this blog post from Neil Patel.
When you start going through things on Google, you’ll find lots of references to Clickbank and working as an affiliate for digital products.
Which is all well and good.
But what most folk don’t tell you, is that you can be an affiliate for literally any product out there in any market!
Which makes profiting from affiliate marketing pretty damn quick and simple.
Here’s how you do it:
1) Choose a market you’re interested in and can write (a lot) about.
2) Get some emailing software like Aweber. You can get a 30 day free trial here.
3) Get leads into your emailing software and send one email every single day of the week to your list, be it 2 people or 20,000 people, and include at least one affiliate link in every email.
How do you get those leads? That’s for another email later this week 😉
Ciao,
Michael
