Yesterday we went to see Angels In America at the National Theatre, parts one and two.
That’s a combined eight hours of theatre in one day.
And the only word for it was… WOW.
What an absolutely stunning piece of theatre.
Probably the best piece of theatre I have ever seen (and I’ve seen a lot).
One of the leads was played by Denise Gough, who I went to drama school with, and she was absolutely outstanding.
It’s a show that’s made me want to act again. It’s made me wonder whether now is the time.
Many years ago, when I stopped acting, I always said that I would start again when I was a bit older.
I wanted to make some money. Check.
I wanted to travel. Check.
I wanted to try other things. Check.
Could now be the time?
There’s no doubt that taking that leap when you’re older is a lot harder. But then things are different now. I’ve experienced a lot more of life.
I’ve been toying with the idea of doing something creative again for a while.
What do you think? Want to give me an acting job?
Ciao,
Michael
P.S. If you can beg, borrow or steal a ticket to Angels In America, then I strongly recommend you do it immediately.
