Pleeeease… someone tell me something nice!

Whenever you open the paper it’s full of misery and pain.

For some reason the news delivered by major networks can only be bad. Very seldom, amongst a barrage of sad and upsetting stories, is a single uplifting one.

It’s kinda depressing.

After a while you begin to think that the world is filled with people doing evil and companies trying to take over the planet.

One thing’s for sure… it’s not good for the soul to only read about doom and gloom day in and day out.

I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be aware of the bad things that are happening. We should. However we should also be aware of all the good things that are happening.

Which is why I’ve taken to reading the news from the Good News Network.

Starting your day with the most inspiring and good news of the day gets you off to a much better start than reading about war, rape and disaster.

They have stories about how the World Bank has announced it will no longer finance gas exploration.

It’s a truly historic moment, which you can read about here.

Or stories about people who have done heroic things, like this couple.

All you need to do is scroll through their site to be inspired by people around the world, and to show you that whatever the major newspapers are reporting, the majority of people in the world are, in fact, kind and generous.

Ciao,

Michael
