Check out my new look (it’s pretty darn sexy!)

The first thing that you’ll notice today, is that the format of my emails has changed radically.

    I hope you like it!

You may have noticed that I very rarely promote anything in these emails, except occasionally my Business Ignition course.

I write these emails because I enjoy writing them and, I hope, because you enjoy reading them.

It’s not my primary business, nor is teaching others how to make money online. I like helping you to succeed, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned over a decade of working online and running online businesses.

As the readership of this newsletter has grown, so have the costs of running it.

Which means I need to find new ways to generate revenue in order to keep it running.

I could make more products about internet marketing. But, as far as I’m concerned, Business Ignition contains a wealth of knowledge not available elsewhere.

So instead… I’ve decided to start showing adverts inside my emails and asking you if you would kindly click on them every time I send an email.

You see, I’ll get paid for clicks on the adverts in my emails. You don’t need to purchase anything, unless you want it of course, you just need to click on each ad once (or multiple times if you’re felling generous!) and this revenue will go back into the cost of hosting this newsletter.

I hope you like the new layout of this email, and thank you for your support, it’s an honour to have you as a reader.

    Michael

P.S. I’ve just taken 30% ownership in a business that’s so offline it’s in the stone age. It’s about to get an awaken to the 21st Century, it’s going to be a lot of work, but damn it’s exciting and I’m going to share with you how I do it.

P.P.S. Don’t forget to click on those ads 😉

  • Event Junky

    Event Junky

Do you like going to seminars?

Running seminars is big business these days, and you get seminar junkies who go to every single one that they hear about.

    But they’re damn expensive.

Take Todd Brown’s recent MFA live event…

    Tickets were $997!

Sell a thousand tickets and you’ve just made a million dollars in sales, before you begin pitching anything from the stage.

Which is why in recent years the quanitty of seminars being hosted is getting larger and larger.

The question is… are they worth it?

IMHO there are two reasions to go to a seminar:

    1) Content
    2) Networking

If you’re going for networking then you’ve got to be hugely pro-active and know exactly why you want to network, and what you’re going to get out of it.

There’s no point in networking without having something to offer the people you’re networking with.

If you’re going for content, then spending nearly a thousand bucks on a ticket, plus flights and hotel accomodation is a lot of money.

At least, I think it’s a lot of money, but then again I have been known to be kinda tight.

Like any product or service, some of the seminars have great content and some of them don’t.

Todd Brown’s MFA had some pretty damn good content, but you’d expect that with speakers like…

    Clayton Makepeace
    Brian Kurtz
    Rich Schefren
    Molly Pittman
    Mike Filsaime
    Ryan Levesque
    Jon Benson
    Dave Dee

    And of course… Todd Brown.

    That’s some serious line-up!

But the fee is out of reach for a lot of folk, which is why I would recommend you go and buy the notes from someone who went.

    Like these ones.

This is an awesome way to get all the content, for a fraction of the cost.

But there’s actually a better reason to get it, other than it costing your thirty bucks instead of a thousand, and that is…

By definition notes only take into account the most important actionable content.

When you deliver a speech you know you’ve got an hour, or longer, on stage. So you build your speech to include anecdotes, stories and other things to keep your audience interested and entertained.

For us folk who just want the nuts and bolts, you can assume that in every hour long speech, there’s about fifteen minutes worth of truly actionable content.

By getting notes from the event instead of going, you get only the most actionable elements from each speaker. All the fluff is removed.

And that’s the single best way to move your business forward.

You don’t want to get bogged down with the fluff, there’s waaaay to much of that anyway.

So you can save a shite load of cash, and only get the parts that are important.

Here’s where to get notes from Todd Brown’s 2017 MFA.

    Inside these notes you’ll get:
The “24-Hour Traffic Trigger” – revealed by Todd Brown – that average marketers in your niche will NEVER be able to afford… but you can put to work (at a profit!) and see real results from within just 24 hours!
Clayton Makepeace’s almost-unbelievably easy and effective way to create instant trust in your prospects… even if you have no track record… a distinct lack of authority… and zero credibility in your market!

How Brian Kurtz turns ordinary email leads into ravenous devourers of content who will drop everything the moment they see his name in their inbox… and the fastest and most effective way to do the same for your marketing messages!

UNKNOWN? Use Rich Schefren’s trick to become an instant authority expert within 25 seconds from the start of any marketing campaign!

Molly Pittman has 4 simple numbers you need to know so you never again have to wonder about when you need to “trim the fat” from your campaigns and when you need to scale!

Mike Filsaime’s discovery of the “Ultimate Webinar” close even the greenest and most timid presenters are using to turn webinars into hefty paydays!

The one simple question Ryan Levesque asks new customers in the very first email to make them fall head-over-heels in love with him and do his bidding!

Cut your writing time by up to 75% with tested and proven Jon Benson’s “Email Themes”!

Dave Dee tells you how 5 hours of work can results in a MONSTER DAY of sales… as often as you choose… at least 15 times a year!

I mean damn, any more than that and you wouldn’t have time to implement it.

Get all these things right here for just 3% of what people paid to actually attend the event!

  • You think you have it tough!

You think you have it tough!

While we’re all moaning about how hard it is to learn to make a living online.

While there are millions of people every year spending money on “golden bullet’s” that don’t exist.

While forums are filled with people talking about how “the content’s good but there’s too much work to do“.

99.9% of the time we never think past ourselves.

We never think about how lucky we are to have been born in a country which is safe, has access to technology and the internet, good medicine, good schooling and enables us to even consider making an income (and a good one) online.

It’s estimated by the UN that in the poorest countries in the world there are 600 million children, yes that’s a heck of a lot, who are in school but aren’t actually learning anything.

Forget learning how to make money online, we’re talking about the basics of reading and writing.

In the South Sudan 75% of girls never go to school because they have to work and then marry.

In the Central African Republic there is one teacher for every 80 students.

In Guinea, the average time in education for women over the age of 25 is one year.

    So here’s my suggestion…

Next time you think there’s too much work involved in learning something new.

Next time you don’t put you mind to achieving what’s possible with the information you’ve been given.

Next time you’re about to moan about something.

    Pause for a second.

Think about the opportunity you have in front of you.

And then grab it with both hands and run with it as fast as you can, because there are hundreds of millions of people who’d like to have the opportunity you’ve just been given.

    All the best,

    Michael

P.S. Here’s my course, and monthly magazine, to building five and six figure online businesses.

  • 125 Hot Dog Buns

We had a BBQ this weekend, and it was pretty damn awesome.

Here’s us setting it up on Friday…

The only thang is… we kinda over-ordered on the hot dog buns.

Wanting to make sure there was enough for everyone, we opted to have one bun per sausage/burger.

And now we’ve got a fair amount of buns left!

Luckily they’re going to go to the animals at the Exotic Pet Refuge down the road.

But there’s an important lesson to learn here.

(and I don’t mean about not over-buying bread buns)

People will ALWAYS purchase things they don’t need!

Read that again, when it comes to selling it’s very important.

Yes, sometimes we buy things we need, but a lot of purchases are completely emotional.

These purchases are done because we want to make sure that we’ve got enough of the product, because it’s something that sounds cool, it’s something that we think will make us look good, or it’s simply shiny and new.

Emotional purchases are amongst the best types of products you can sell online.

But, when you’re writing your sales copy, you need to remember that you’re appealing to your prospect’s emptional side.

If you try and appeal to their logical side you’ll almost certainly turn them off the idea of buying, because they don’t actually need your product.

So the lesson here is, when you’re writing sales copy, always remember to appeal to the emotional side of someone.

And if you can’t be bothered to learn copywriting right now, then you can grab this swipe file which allows you to create million dollar sales copy in minutes.

    Ciao,

    Michael

  • Tooth cracking pain

    Tooth cracking pain

I was at the dentist yesterday, and the great news was that…

I’ve basically got no enamel left on my teeth.

    Whoop whoop.

I’m what they call a grinder.

They used to call me that in my younger days too 😉

Anyhoo… since you stop producing enamel when you’re thriteen years old, that’s left me kinda screwed.

Some kind of glass plate was added to my worst tooth and I was sent home with high-flouride toothpaste.

TBH, I’m not particularly keen on using high fluoride toothpaste twice a day, I know it can cause all sorts of other issues.

So I’m now on the lookout for something natural that can do the same job.

If you’ve got any suggestions then please let me know by hitting the reply button on this email.

A very interesting piece of information I found out, was that the human bite will grind through anything.

It doesn’t matter what you put on your teeth, they will eventually grind through it.

You can get a metal spacer that opens your mouth a bit to try and stop the grinding at night, but I doubt I’d use it.

Luckily, grinding when it comes to content marketing is exactly what you want to do.

By grinding out regular, high quality content, you are able to crush your competition.

    How do you do it?

Easily. Simply choose one of the below types of blog content and write a five hundred to a thousand words on it each day.

If you really want to be awesome go for three to five thousand words with lots of images. That will kick everyone else in the ass.

Here’s the list of blog post types. The first few days the writing may be tough, but the more you do, the better you’ll get.

    1) How-to tutorials
    2) Lists
    3) Resource lists
    4) Cheat-sheets
    5) Reviews
    6) Controvesial post on passionate subjects
    7) Infographics
    8) Videos
    9) Interviews
    10) Blog series

If you want to learn how to write content faster than any normal human is capable of.

    Check out this blog post.
