    I’m about to wee myself

    There’s nothing funny about that subject line, it’s the gods honest truth. I’m having one of those days when I’m running behind on everything, and my brain isn’t focused.

    When you’re not focused, you just can’t come up with the things you want to come up with, and now I desperately need to wee.

    But I refuse to let myself, until I’ve written this email.

    And as you can see… sometimes when you put yourself in a situation that requires you to do something, you just get on and do it!

    I always write my emails one day in advance, that prevents me from worrying if I have to go out in the morning or for some reason can’t write an email that day.

    Which means, I want to send you images of the new Business Ignition, but I won’t be picking it up from the printers until this afternoon.

    So you’re just gonna have to wait until tomorrow.

  • Minion, where are you?

    Minion, where are you?

    I frickin love Megamind. Have you ever watched it? Holly and I watched it again on Netflix last night, and I truly believe it’s one of the greatest recent animations made.

    If you haven’t seen it, then you should.

    Megamind is the most brilliant super-villain in the world, but he’s also the most unsuccessful. Time and again he gets thwarted by Metro Man. So, you can imagine his surprise when he actually beats his all-time nemesis.

    Which is when his problems truly begin, because he now has no purpose in life. After all what’s a super-villain without a super-hero to fight.

    So… he creates himself a good guy to fight against.

    But it all goes wrong when the good guy decides it’s more fun to be the bad guy!

    Having a purpose is, I believe, one of the most important things in life. You must have a purpose if you want to be successful.

    And that’s why I always come back to people trying to make money online in the internet marketing niche, when their only objective is to learn it so they can make money online.

    That’s not a purpose.

    It’s also, in my opinion, the number one reason why most people fail to be successful online.

    You must start your online journey by doing something that you enjoy helping other people to achieve. Make it about you, and it won’t work.

    Once you know what you’re going to help others to achieve, you then need access to the best online business plan in existence.

    A business plan that shows you how to go from zero to hero in the shortest time possible.

    A method that blows everything else out of the water.

  • Burning Celluloid

    When I was a kid, my dad used to have a reel-to-reel projector. We’d set it up in his living room, and watch the Disney films he had on it.

    It had a bad picture, was crackly, had crap sound, but I loved it.

    My dad was a film buff. He absolutely loved them, and that’s something he passed down to me. Even when I was younger, the first expensive thing I ever saved up for and bought myself, was a home cinema system. It began with a video projector, and then I slowly got speakers, an amp, and even a laserdisc player.

    Damn, do you remember those?

    I bloody loved it, even though my friends still take the piss out of me now for having one, I didn’t care. There was nothing better than sitting down to watch a high definition (for the time) laserdisc on a two meter wide screen.

    And the truth is… I still love it.

    And yes, I’ve still got a video projector, two meter wide screen, and complete digital surround system. But, to make it even better, we now live in a house where we can have the sound as loud as we want!

    So my point is, I know a fair amount about movies, and production quality.

    (did I mention I used to be an actor and have been on a number of film shoots to 😉

    That’s why, when you see software like Clickfunnels, Leadpages, Infusionsoft, SalesForce and all the other high-end marketing software companies, you always want to get access to them.

    Because their sales videos are damn good.

    To be fair to them, the software’s usually pretty good too.

    But the question is… Do you really need them?

    And the answer to that is a resounding no.

    They do make life easier, but at the same time they can cause you problems further down the line, because you’ll always be limited by them.

    Having used most of them, and still using a number of them, I’d recommend that you don’t bother. There are far more effective ways to do those jobs, at a fraction of the price, and which leave you in complete control of your website.

    And the bottom line is… if you’re in complete control of your website, then you can do whatever the hell you want, rather than only being able to do what your software provider allows you to do.

    So my advice is, however nice the videos for fancy software looks, burn the celluloid of those movies and find a way to do it that remains completely in your control.

    P.S. Oh yeah, 99% of the time hiring a developer to build you a custom solution will work out a lot cheaper and pay for itself within a few months! Just something to think about.

    Only god knows what is happening right now

    I’m writing this on Monday morning, because only god knows what will be happening for me right now. As you read this, I’ll be in the hospital with Holly waiting for our first child to be born, and praying that he’ll be okay.

    Or maybe by now he’ll already be born!

    Either way, as I write, I have absolutely no idea what will be happening when you read this.

    I thought that would make it an appropriate time to thank you.

    At the end of last week I had a bit of a moan.

    You see our private Facebook group, which you can join here, had started to get bombarded with people promoting junk offers (all of whom have been banned).

    Despite having a great group of people in there, nobody was interacting anymore, and I’d got to the point where I was considering closing it down.

    Well… since then there has been a renewed interest in the group, and people sharing what they’re doing.

    And that’s great to see. So thank you.

    All we need to do, is to keep it going.

    As Stephen said:

    “More comments and participation needed I think. I tend to read something and get value but then don’t return the favour.”

    If you read something of value, then please return the favour by commenting or posting.

    It’s a safe space, there’s no judgement, you can ask any question, you can share what you’re doing, testing, trying and the results you’re getting.

    There’s a mistaken thought that you shouldn’t share what you’re doing, because someone else will take it.

    That is so wrong it hurts me when I hear it.

    Because the truth is… the more you share with other people, the more they’ll share with you.

    And you’ll never learn as fast as you do when other people share what they’re doing with you!

    So let us know what you’re trying, it doesn’t have to be working. Hell, the stuff that doesn’t work is the most valuable of all, because that’s when we learn what not to do, and it’s only by learning that, that we can learn what we should be doing.

    Newbie Friendly, Simple and Credible

    Well Paul, I absolutely can 🙂

    But it comes with a proviso… you’re still going to have to do some work.

    You see I’m always wary when someone emails me asking for a simple and credible system. It generally means that they’ve been lured in by a sales pages offering push-button money for zero investment and zero work.

    The truth of those sales pages is… they’re an absolute crock of shite.

    If you could make money with zero effort, risk or investment, then you sure as hell wouldn’t be telling other people how to do it.

    Yeah, you’d probably be donating huge amounts to charity, but you wouldn’t be giving the golden goose away.

    So, before I give you my thoughts on what can help you, there are a couple of things I need to clarify.

    The first…

    You are going to have to work!

    There is simply no substitute for taking action. You’ll need to make a decision and go for it, and then do it for a meaningful amount of time.

    e.g. don’t write back to me in a few days and say you tried it for 48 hours and it didn’t work.

    You have to be persistent and reliable, everything I share does work, you just have to put it into action and keep working at it.

    The second…

    Don’t expect every ‘system’ to be perfect.

    Here’s the thang, we’re all different. We all have different personalities. We all have different amounts of time available. We all have different skills.

    That means when someone is showing you how to do things, don’t assume it’s going to work for you exactly the way they’re saying.

    Why?

    Because the person who wrote it is different to you.

    What you need to do is look at the principles they’re teaching, choose the ones that suit you best, and work damn hard on becoming successful at them.

    That’s how to make someone else’s ‘system’ work for you.

    However much they tell you it’s out of the box, you’ve got to use your own strengths and weaknesses to make it a success for you personally.

    Heck, I’ve bought products for thousands of dollars before, and been happy with just one chapter from the whole thing.

    Why?

    Because I know I can use that chapter to devastating affect. I don’t need anything else, I know what will work for me.

    Now I’m not suggesting you go and buy a thousand dollar product and use one chapter. What I am saying, is that you must not assume that everything in the system will work for you. You should be looking for one method that works for you in terms of time, interest and ability.

    Then you work hard at making money from that. When you’re making money from it, you can look for another one.

    And the more times you do this, the more you’ll learn your own strengths and weaknesses, and the better you’ll become at assessing what’s going to be successful for you.

    Oh yeah… and the more money you’ll make 😉

    Both of these come with multiple ways to make money online, quickly, and with no costs. Go through all the approaches they have, and then choose one or two that suit you to implement.
