  • I’m sorry, you want me to do what?

I’m sorry, you want me to do what?

Some companies have no respect. And top of that list are delivery companies.

Today, I’m waiting in for a delivery, and the potential delivery time is anything from 7am to 7pm.

    Seriously!

They can’t even give a morning or an evening. It drives me nuts. It’s as if we have nothing better to do than sit at home twiddling our thumbs while we wait for them.

    Anyhoo…

It is what it is, and I will just have to suck it up.

In the meantime, it’s given me the time to do a few things I probably wouldn’t have done otherwise. I run a strict, four hour or less work day. Which is what the folk who have Business Ignition are in the processing of building for themselves.

But today, I’m kinda trapped in the house, so I’ll get some other things done.

This is primarily gonna be to do with the new design on my blog.

Which if you haven’t see, is here: https://michaelwilding.com/blog/

I built this entire new design in less than 3 hours.

    But more importantly…

I built this landing page in just 20 minutes: https://michaelwilding.com/

And it converts at nearly 40%!

Now before you go and get all excited, don’t go and copy it straight out of the box. That’s not cool. And folk will know it’s not your own work.

Instead, let me break down the four steps that makes it work, so you can create your own landing page that converts at 40%.

    1. A simple headline that explains an immediate benefit

    2. An opt-in button which stands out against it’s surroundings

    3. Benefit re-confirmed multiple times on the page

    4. Only requesting an email address (no name)

    That’s it!

Too many people spend hours agonising over the background, text font and other things.

    Do they make a difference?

Yup. If you’re driving tens of thousands of clicks to it. With those kind of numbers, a small percentage increase is going to make a big difference.

If you’re driving a few hundred clicks a month, or even a week, then don’t sweat about it. Those small percentage increases aren’t worth the time. Just put the landing page up and start sending traffic.

    Simple.

Oh yeah. This is what I use to build all my landing pages.

  • Whoah, breaking the world’s internet speed record

Whoah, breaking the world’s internet speed record

Yesterday I got chatting with someone I used to work with, he goes by the name of Andy Fletcher, and is an internet marketing techy wizard.

When I was working with him, he’d not long founded one of the fastest growing affiliate platforms of the time.

Anyhoo… he gave me a walk around his new baby… Convertri.

    And just one word… WOW.

You can take a look here.

Convertri is a funnel builder that directly competes with ClickFunnels and Leadpages, but at a fraction of the cost. At least for the next 24 hours!

I’ve used both ClickFunnels and Leadpages extensively, and my ClickFunnels account costs me nearly $300 per month.

But what makes Convertri truly rock, is it’s lightning fast speed.

And for us marketers, that’s money in the bank.

If your sales pages takes longer than 3 seconds to load, you’re going to be losing customers. But, if your sales pages takes less than 3 seconds to load, you can convert up to 25% more people.

    Woah daddy.

Just by increasing the speed of your sales pages you can make more money.

And this is particularly true if you’re using paid traffic.

Nothing says it better than an image, here’s ClickFunnel’s sales page in Google’s page analyser:

TBH, that’s shockingly bad. The tab for desktop is just as bad as mobile.

And this is what Google says for Convertri’s sales page (the special offer one that’s only available for another 24 hours):

Nothing more needs to be said.

Yeah, Convertri is newer, and there are a few features ClickFunnels have which are still being implementing by Andy and his team.

But, the drag and drop interface is a thousand times better than ClickFunnels because… well… you can actually drag and drop stuff where you want.

The speed kicks ClickFunnels in the ass.

And it’s a fraction of the price.

Bottom line… I’ve already moved three of my sales funnels over to Convertri, and it’s only gonna be a matter of time before I close my account at ClickFunnels.

If you want to join me, then you’ve got 24 hours to lock in the special price for life.

  • The Secret Life Of Marketers

    The Secret Life Of Marketers

In the internet marketing world, marketers are selling all sorts of products to teach you how to market. Recently there’s been a fair few Facebook Advertising strategies being sold using the big Jeff Walker style launch.

You know the kind… they start with an optin form to get your email, then you go through a series of videos designed to build trust and give proof of the products results before you get the sales page.

The whole thing takes a few weeks.

    And they work well.

Why do they work well? Because they generate hype.

Personally I almost never optin to them anymore. I’ve seen too many of them, worked on many more and generally find watching hours of video that really don’t tell you much pretty dull.

But here’s the thing… 99% of people who optin are doing it because they want to improve their marketing. But 99% of people who optin are doing the wrong thing.

They’re listening to what’s being said in the videos to learn as much as possible.

    No, no my friend.

That’s not the way to do it.

Next time you optin to one of these launches, look at what they’re doing in the launch not the product they’re selling.

    Why?

Because most of the time what they’re selling is completely different to how they’re selling it.

And let’s be honest, wouldn’t you rather see how to do a multi-million dollar launch than buy into the product that’s making them those dollars 😉

    Ciao,

    Michael

HINT: It’s always in the email list.

  • Nipple Electrodes

    Nipple Electrodes

I went to see the Circus of Horrors not long ago, and one of the acts was called the Man Of Pain. During his act he got these electrodes and put them on his nipples. You can probably guess what happened.

And yes… it was weird. Really weird.

Anyhoo, I’m telling you about this because the marketing for the Circus Of Horrors is, well, not very much.

They basically don’t tell you anything.

Which means you get intrigued. And then you start to think of all the weird s**t that might be in the show, then you have to go to find out if that is what’s in it.

As internet marketers it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you have to tell your audience about the benefits of the product. But never underestimate the power of curiosity.

You should only ever give enough information to make your audience understand the benefit they’re gonna get, and then give ‘em a bowlful of curiosity about HOW they’re gonna do it.

And if you want to know how to drive your audience wild, you’d better register for the early bird notice of my new book and newsletter.
